Testimonials Tell of ‘Chandel Method’

Rev. Dr. Chandel, in his "endless, foolish and incredible mercy," makes time in his busy schedule for virtually all souls who seek him out. With rare exception, few are turned away because of their physical ailment.This benevolent practice continues his Indian legacy where he healed thousands of people over many years of practice.

Your gentle rap on his door is answered with an equally gentle, "Yes, please. Come in." You open the door and you step not into a stark waiting room stacked with silent sickies and old .National Geographics, but right into Dr. Chandel’s front room, alive with the conversation of clients seated comfortably on two couches which frame two chairs - one for Dr. Chandel and the other for the recipient of his healing.

One of his clients, whom for his privacy I call "Mr. A," describes this scene the best: "The collection of people is a great equalizer. Perhaps there is something therapeutic in the very environment of openness and equality. Folks are very forthright with what happens to them. Taboos are erased quickly. Only the newbies are reticent to discuss things."

The healing, which to the uninitiated looks the same for all clients, begins: The killi is rubbed briskly into and across the points that associate to specific organs, glands and parts of the body. When the healing points of the right hand have been activated, he moves to the left hand, and then the right foot and finally the left foot.

Dr. Chandel’s rubbing and poking with his killi cannot be described as an altogether pleasant experience. There are special moments, especially in the first few sessions, when you think you’re going to shoot right out of the chair. But these are only momentary bursts and when the pressure is removed so is the discomfort. Dr. Chandel explains that the more sensitive a point is the more the associated area needs healing.

Dr. Chandel claims his Method provides quick findings and rapid results with no side effects. I have found these claims compelling, both in my own case and in the testimonials I have encountered. Testimonials are a major part of the Dr. Chandel experience. There is an element of belief associated with Chandel's Method of Healing and the seemingly endless amounts of anecdotal evidence certainly help build faith in the man and his method. Humility and hyperbole live in balance.

Mr. A, a fifty-something educator, had been diagnosed with prostate cancer last year and was scheduled for a January surgery. He was growing impatient and did not want to sit around doing nothing, waiting to go under the knife. After a friend at work slipped him a note that read, "There’s a healer," Mr. A made the call. Soon, following the healing of Dr. Chandel, he called off the surgery. His PSAs are, and have been, in the safe range for several months.

Mr. A credits his awareness of God as his #1 remedy followed closely by The Chandel Method. He emphasizes the need for belief to precede and accompany healing. Most folks who come to Dr. Chandel have maxed-out Western allopathic medicine and are ready to believe out of a sense of self-preservation.

"Mrs. N," a retired medical professional, had been suffering from back pain for ten years following a heavy lifting mishap. An active woman, intrusive healing methods were out of the question, she rarely used pain relievers and acupuncture proved unsuccessful. She learned about Dr. Chandel from her husband, also a medical professional, who had heard about Dr. Chandel from several of his clients. Ms. Z exudes life, especially since it appears she’s beating breast cancer. Diagnosed in 2001, this woman’s Stage Four breast cancer had metastasized into her other breast, liver, lungs and lymph nodes. Her oncologist had started her immediately on chemo and radiation therapies. (One tumor was so severe it had caused an open wound, a wound the doctors had given no chance of healing closed).

She had read a newspaper article about Dr. Chandel and had talked to several folks about his method. The doctor had reportedly successfully healed one of her close friend’s husband for rheumatoid arthritis. As with many extreme cases, Ms. Z saw Dr. Chandel ten day in a row to jump-start her body’s healing process. This intense regimen was followed by 3 times weekly, then visits two times per week.
